Meet in the Middle: 5th Grade Jump Up Day - January 18th

We are thrilled to share an upcoming event with you - Meet in the Middle: A 5th Grade Jump-up Day on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Each year, our current 5th grade students "jump up" to Middle School for a day to get a sneak peek of the 6th grade experience. Once again, we are extending that opportunity and welcoming any local 5th graders, who are not currently enrolled at HCES, to join our 5th graders and spend a day on campus as they experience Middle School classrooms, enjoy lunch in The Commons and a pep rally! Last year, we welcomed 6 new students to our middle school who attended this event. 

Students will join with other 5th graders who will be visiting Middle School classes, and then share their experiences over lunch in our Commons Cafe. Other fun activities will follow in the afternoon, including a peek into our elective classes, a pep rally, 6th grade panel Q & A, and maybe even a basketball game after school! 

Registration is necessary so that we can make Middle School class schedules for our guests. Please use the form on this page to register. This event is FREE and open to the public.
