Boys' Cross Country Team Places 1st at Miller Landing Madness
The HCES Boys XC team had a fantastic showing at the Miller Landing Madness Meet on Saturday, August 18th. The team score was comprised of the top 5 finishers from each team. The Crusaders were represented, in order according to their finish, by Will Winsor (7th grade), Henry Fernandez (6th grade), Barnes Ray (6th grade), Matthew Wilbourn (7th grade) and Everett Heckman (7th grade). The result of this calculation was a tie with Swift Creek Middle School! That meant the judges looked for the 6th finishing member of each team for the tiebreaker. 7th grader Aiden Merritt finished in front of his rival to seal the victory for the Crusaders! It was, as always, a true team effort! We are so proud of these, and of all of our student-athletes! Holy Comforter Athletics: Together, we are.....Creative, Bold, Determined!
