On Friday, October 18th, we welcomed over 1000 people, HCES students, parents and friends, to our campus for our annual Fall Festival and Book Fair. We kicked off the afternoon with the Episcopal Schools Celebration,
a national celebration of Episcopal Schools, in the outdoor chapel featuring our 5th grade choir. Our families and friends then strolled into the courtyard for an evening filled with fun and fellowship making it, yet again, one of the most treasured events of the school year as it has been for decades. As you can imagine, many months of planning and hard work go into organizing this special event. Thank you to HCES parents, Molly Bader and Mary-Kathryn Malphurs for serving as our leaders chairing the event. Families enjoyed live music, bounce houses, a rock wall, games, crafts with Holy Comforter Church and our Latin Club, a hayride with Mr. Williams, the ever-popular cake walk, and face painting! HUGE shoutout to our Middle School Band, School of Rock band and Opening Nights for providing live music and thank you to our Music Department teachers for leading!
In addition, this week we are hosting the annual Fall Book Fair (which kicked off during the Fall Festival) partnering locally with Midtown Reader. We would like to especially thank our Book Fair chair Megan Neal and co-chair, Cassie Dirks and their committee, who work tirelessly all week, transforming the space and serving our families, teachers, and students during another fantastic Fair. This year, we've welcomed grandparents once again to the ever-popular "Grand" event. Over 3 days, grandparents visit campus to eat lunch with their grandchildren and shop at the book fair.
Thank you to Prime Meridian Bank, our sponsor for Fall Festival, for joining us and hosting the Prime Meridian Tailgate!
Thank you to Munchies Pizza for generously providing the delicious pizza! Thank you to Coach Barlow and the Athletic Booster parents for manning the food at the Fall Festival. Once again, thank you to the Fall Festival and Book Fair Committees for creating a week of fun and memories that will last a lifetime for our students.
