HCES Middle School students participated in “SeeYou at the Pole” this morning, September 26th. “See You at the Pole,” traditionally held on the fourth Wednesday in September is a student-initiated, student organized, and student-led event during which students meet at the flagpole to pray for their school, friends, teachers, and their nation.
Started in 1990 by a group of teenagers in Burleson, Texas, “Seeyou at the Pole” has grown to a worldwide celebration, On September 12, 1990, 45,000 students gathered around flagpoles in 4 different states. Today, over 3 million students in the United States celebrate “Seeyou the Pole” each year, as well as students in 20 countries worldwide.
At the HCES ceremony, middle school FCA students organized and led their peers in prayer as they gathered around the flagpole at the front of the school.
