Cross Country State Championship
The Crusader Cross Country team competed in the FLYRA State Championship on Saturday, October 28th. Once again, HCES had a stellar showing by finishing as the 10th place team in the combined standings. The girls finished as the 13th place team in the state, out of 37 teams. Mary Clayton (25th), Sophia Umana (109th), Grace Reichelderfer (125th), Camille Resavage (158), Imani Walker (179th), Kate Smith (221st), and Erica Smith (228th) were our girls State team members in a race of 313 girls. Leo Kelly (43rd), Jackson Yarbrough (138th), Matthew Wilbourn (198th), Will Winsor (211), Ryals McMullian (219th), Everett Heckman (228th), and Jack Dessi (275th) competed in the boys race verse a field of 358 runners. Congratulations, Crusaders!
